Procedure and Forms for Claiming Masters Athletics Records

Note:  For Pentathlon, Decathlon and Heptathlon scores "h" & "e" denotes hand and electronic timing respectively. For other events, a second decimal place indicates electronic timing to l/lOO of a second.

Claims for Victorian and Australian or World Records

Either download the appropriate form [in MS Word .doc format] by right-clicking on the appropriate arrow and clicking "Save Target As.." on the drop-down menu that will appear:

Or, request a form from Clyde Riddoch, VMA Records Officer [contact details above].

Please obtain copies of all relevant slips used at the meeting, such as print-outs of timing, field games officials' sheets, lap scoring sheets, etc. Obtain the signatures of all relevant officials on the day, as it may be difficult to validate the claim later. Hand timed claims should have three stop watches. Electronic timed claims must be set at a meet with a fully electronic start-finish timing system. Claims for throws must be measured with a steel tape. Send the record claim form and any attachments to:
