About Our Geelong Venue

To Start:  Contact us [detail at right] or just turn up any Wednesday evening. There is no charge for
         the initial visit or two.

Where:    Landy Field, off Barwon Terrace, Geelong [Melway map - 228 C7] or use the
          >> map view [then click the 'Hybrid' tab above the map, for detail].

When:     Every Wednesday evening, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

Everyone, from beginner to elite, is welcome. Standards and performances are recorded in five-year age groups. Age-graded events are especially popular; they reward improvement and fitness gained through the years. We frequently run handicap or estimated-time events.

Come along and enjoy yourself – jogging, running, or walking.

Our Winter Program [April-December 2010] is available via the Program link above.

imageTonight saw the running of the first Brian Cole 2000 m handicap. A large field of enthusiastic runners set off in turn with the hope of a catching the front markers, but with a eye over the shoulder for back markers Michael Low, Isaac Hockey and Jackson Hamill - Beach. Rhys Hamill-Beach grabbed the lead for most of the journey, but was caught in the final lap by a fast finishing Jmara Hockley-Samon and Jeremy Dean who raced shoulder to shoulder over the finish lap, with Hockley Samon drawing clear in the final straight, from Dean and a fast finishing Ron Thomas. To cap off an excellent night, Peter Lamb set a new venue record in the 100 m
